3. Shopify Store Data

Moonshot AI SEO accesses Shopify store information needed to provide SEO description rewrite functionality. This includes syncing product data from your store so that we can display your products within the app and submit their descriptions for AI-powered optimization. We request only the Shopify API scopes necessary to deliver our service (currently: write_products).

4. AI Processing

Product content (such as titles and descriptions) may be sent to third-party AI providers solely to generate rewritten, SEO-optimized descriptions. We do not use your product data to train AI models, and AI-generated content is returned exclusively to your store. The AI providers process data in accordance with their own privacy and data handling policies.

5. Data Sharing

Moonshot AI does not sell merchant personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With AI service providers as described above, solely to generate rewritten descriptions
• With infrastructure and hosting providers necessary to operate the service
• When required by law, regulation, or legal process
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your app installation is active and as needed to provide our services. If you uninstall Moonshot AI SEO, we will cease accessing new data from your store. Previously synced data and operational logs may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, after which it will be securely deleted.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), encrypted storage of sensitive credentials, and access controls. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we are committed to safeguarding your data using commercially reasonable practices.

8. Merchant Rights

As a merchant, you have the right to:

• Request correction or deletion of your personal data
• Uninstall the app at any time to stop future data access from your Shopify store, subject to legal and operational retention needs
• Contact us with questions or concerns about your data

You may uninstall Moonshot AI SEO at any time through your Shopify admin to stop future access to your store data. Please note that certain data may be retained as described in the Data Retention section above.
